Prashna Anushodhana is a challenging task for all CSE/IT/MCA Students which tests the knowledge of building a query, breaking a complex query into simpler one, etc.
RULES AND REGULATIONS:

  • This is an individual participation event where the participants must solve few complex queries related to database.
  • Screening round will be conducted.
  • Shortlisted students will be promoted to final round.
  • Participants will be provided the database and the queries that are needed to be solved.
  • Queries with minimum complexity will be given the preference.
  • The decision of the judges will be treated as final and binding on all.
  • Exact team size is 3.(Preferable team is one from 2nd year, one from 3rd year and one from 4th year).
  • 3 Members may or may not be from same Department. They may be from any department (CSE/IT/MCA).
  • Screening consists of questions from all 4 years' subjects of CSE/IT. 
  • Rules for each round will be informed on the day of event.
  • The decision of judges and event coordinators shall be treated as final and binding on all.

Is coding a passion for you? And do you want to extrapolate your skills to next level. The Digout to Bugout is an event where the participant’s understanding of the Pre-Written code is observed and tested.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

  • This is an Individual Event where the participants need to resolve the bugs of a pre-filled code in stipulated time.
  • Screening round will be conducted.
  • Shortlisted students will be promoted to final round.
  • Judgment will be based on the participant’s debugging skills along with the output which must match with the required result.
  • The decision of the judges will be treated as final and binding on all.

Cuddle the Code is an excellent opportunity to unlock your logical ability and coding skills

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

  • Preliminary round will be conducted through Hacker Rank two days prior to the event (19-12-19). Please provide your Hacker Rank user names during the registration process.
  • Shortlisted students will be intimated through email and promoted to final round.
  • Participants can use any programming languages provided(C, CPP, Java, Python).
  • Complexity of code is also considered in judgement.
  • The decision of the judges will be treated as final and binding on all.

Rules:

  • Maximum two participants are allowed per poster.
  • The poster can be either handmade or printed on a Flex of size not more than A3.
  • Posters must be in landscape layout.
  • Each poster must be mounted in the allocated room and/or in the space marked for the poster. Mounting arrangements to be done by participants.
  • All text should be readable at a distance of approximately 1.5 m.
  • One of the participants must always be present at poster side during scheduled poster presentation time.
  • The maximum time duration for explaining the poster will be 6 mins  (4 min for explanation + 2 min for question-answer)
  • The poster must bear Poster Title, Name/s of participant and College which must be positioned at top-center of the poster.
  • There may be no mechanical or electrical devices attached to the poster.
  • There may be no materials placed in front of, above, below, or to the side of the poster.
  • All material must be accessible without having to lift or turn a page.
  • Description of theme of poster can be laid out across chart/poster aptly
  • The aspects considered in the competition are: Technical content of poster, Presentation skills, Poster format and appearance
  • Posters are invited on any Google worthy issues in any latest technologies

  • Executable version of project shall be presented
  • Any necessary add-on tools are the responsibility of the team itself

We all aim to reach the destination safely by choosing a path. But practically the situation may not be the same. We have to overcome a lot of obstacles for which we all worried. Can we overcome this type of a situation in a joyful & funny way? Yes, SCAVENGERS HARE is one such event where you brainstorm over the clues provided and find the path to reach the final destination.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

  • This is a team event. The team should consist of 3-4 members (students from all departments and years can participate).
  • Initially you will be given a question with a clue.  The Team members should crack the clue which directs them to a location.
  • The team should submit their response to the organizing team at the directed location. If your response is correct, another pair of question and clue will be given and the process continues till you reach the end.
  • If you face any obstacle (situations where you weren’t given either a clue or a question), go back to previous location and find a better path by ­picking another question.
  • A team will be declared as winner if they reach the end within a short span of time.

Are you expert in building pyramids using cards or glasses? Then try the new way of constructing pyramids using glasses by sticking letter on to it, which makes an appropriate word.

  • This is a team event and the team should consist of 2 members (Preferred team members: One from each year excluding 1st year).
  • It consists of 2 rounds. Screening and final round.
  • Screening round is done team wise and questions will be based on topics covered up to your pre-final year of study.
  • Shortlisted teams are only allowed to participate in the final round.
  • In the final round, the team will be given a set of technical words and letters. All you need to do is construct pyramids using the glasses and stick given set of letters on the glasses which will form an appropriate word (which is a technical word)

 

Tech Thoughts is a theme based event where participants/ team members need to present their views and thoughts through a project/PPT/paper presentation.

Rules and Regulations:

  • The team size is 1-2 members.
  • Theme of the event is “USE OF ELECTRICAL/ ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENTS IN EVERYDAY LIFE”.  This can deal with the equipments used in day to day life/ at least once in a life time.
  • The participants can even display their own project only if it satisfies the theme of the event.
  • Minimum discussion time for presenting your PPT/project/paper should is 5 minutes.
  • The decision of the event judge will be final.

If you think you have good speaking ability/creativity in expressing your views regarding a randomly allotted topic in an excellent way, then TECH SANE is waiting for you.

Rules and Regulations: 

  • Interested participants should take part in this event individually. This is not a team event.
  • Participants will be allotted a topic basing on the number selected at random from a bowl of slips.
  • Participants will be given a minute to think about the given topic.
  • After that, participants can start expressing their views regarding the topic.
  • The decision of the event judge will be final.

  • It consists of 2 rounds. Screening and final round.
  • Screening round is done team wise and questions will be based on topics covered up to your pre-final year of study.
  • Shortlisted teams are only allowed to participate in the final round.

If you are expert at debugging/ reducing a circuit, then CIRCUIT BREAKER is your cup of tea.

Rules and Regulations: 

  • This is a team event and each team consists of 2-3 members (Preferred team members: One from each year excluding 1st year).
  • It consists of 3 rounds. Screening, Conversion and Debugging round.
  • Screening round is done team wise and questions will be based on topics covered up to your pre-final year of study.
  • Shortlisted teams are only allowed to participate in further rounds.
  • In the Conversion round, qualified teams should reduce the circuit/network to its simplest form. Teams which qualify this round will be selected for the final round.
  • In final round, the selected teams will be asked to find the error and make necessary corrections/modifications or place the missing components.

  • Total marks: 25

One person per one lecture only.

  • Judges will be asking technical questions related to the core subjects.
  • Winner will be selected based on the individual performance of the participants.

About VIVA VVIT

VVIT started national level youth fest since 2008 with just 240. It has grown from strength to strength numbering thousands. It has grown from a regional to a national event. This fest has provided a platform to enable them to involve and show their interests and hobbies to the invited gathering of students.   This has in turn increased their confidence, and event management skills and made them feel proud about being involved in the events.

We would like to take it to greater heights by incorporating more events and enabling the students to take the reins of the organizing as well as the decision making process in the fest in a bigger way. The fest is a doorway for learning as well as an entertainment for the students.

Dreams of the students are never-ending just as the outer space has no limit. They follow their passion to fulfill their dream by taking part in various competitions for self-encouragement and enrichment.
